PHP: P h o t o A l b u m New!!
I couldn't find a drop-in photo album script that worked with my web hosts, so I wrote my own. Adhering to the "KISS" principle ("keep it simple, stupid") you just drop it into a directory full of JPG images, rename to "index.php", and access the folder with your browser. One level of subdirectory "albums" is supported. Add new sub-albums in edit-mode. Simple configuration and CSS-controlled presentation. The script file contains all the installation instructions and configuration variables, including the stylesheet. To expand, drop a copy of the script in several folders and link to them from an HTML index page of your own design. Requires a UNIX/Linux server, PHP4.2 or higher, with GD1.6 or higher graphic module (pretty standard host configuration).

A weblog application with professional features -- only it's a one-time shareware, not a monthly service you pay and pay and pay...

Dagbok (Swedish for "diary" or "journal") has everything you need -- a web-based editor and many ways to list your categorized blogs: It comes set to show the 2 latest entries and user comments (optional). Visitors can also browse a list of all your blogs, or use the dynamic calendar to look back at old posts you put up months ago. An "archiving" scheme shows previous years and months containing posts.

It's a complete site, with the blog page, visitor registration and email confirmation scripts. Each categorized entry has a headline, a deck (short synopsis or teaser line) and a body. Your body entries can even include links to images using standard BBCODE format (for example, "[IMG_RIGHT]imagename.jpg[/IMG]" puts an image in the right side of the body of a post, with text wrapping around to the left of it. You can add bylines (author names) if you have multiple posting authors defined. A 'links' editor lets you add a column of links to other blogs or sites.

A directory indexer. Drop this PHP-enabled Web page in a directory you wish to share files from or access with your browser. It lists files, images and directories and allows viewing or downloading through the Web browser. Secure! - traverses downwards, but not up above the directory containining it. Great way to share photo images or collaborative documents.
